The beautiful Pavilion appears to float on the canopy of virgin rainforest thanks to its situation atop 30-metre stilts, which allows far-reaching views over the rainforest. The award-winning Pavilion restaurant serves traditional Thai cuisine nightly in an open-air setting.
On the same level as The Main Pool, with indoor and outdoor seating areas overlooking the rainforest, The Dining Room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. When having breakfast during the fruiting season, catch the Great hornbill feeding on the Strangler fig tree’s bountiful fruits. The Dining Room is where you’ll find our lavish signature buffet breakfast, with a made-to-order juice bar, and is an ideal venue for a quiet lunch. The ambience and mood change subtly in the evening as the restaurant becomes a romantic fine-dining experience, with candles reflecting off the pool, and signature dishes influenced by local ingredients.
The Beach Club is the place to enjoy a convivial and truly friendly atmosphere. It comprises a lounge bar by the beach and a casual-dining restaurant. You can have a drink and appreciate our freshly made, hand-tossed pizza or a catch of the day. It also features an outdoor show kitchen with fresh seafood cooked on the open grill.
The Beach Bar, with its shaded seating area under trees, overlooks the turquoise Andaman Sea with Tarutao island in the distance. Guests can spend the day here swimming in the pool or sea, and there are plenty of deckchairs for a read or a nap, allowing you to switch off or tune in to all that happens in this gorgeous beachfront spot. The Beach Bar is the perfect place to sip The Datai Langkawi’s signature cocktails and enjoy delicious light snacks before dinner while watching the beautiful sunset.
Set against a wilderness backdrop of primordial mountains, the pristine 10 million-year-old rainforest is home to a wealth of flora and fauna: you may well spot Dusky langurs, Great hornbills and Sunda colugos during your stay.
The resort’s private footpath leads to dreamy Datai Bay’s idyllic white-sand beach, one of the Top 10 Beaches worldwide as awarded by National Geographic.
The Datai Langkawi’s setting, on the northwestern tip of the lush tropical island of Langkawi, is a place full of magic and mystery, and it has millions of years’ worth of stories to tell. Against a backdrop of Southeast Asia’s oldest mountain, Machincang, its 750-hectare rainforest ‘back garden’ is every nature lover’s dream and just waiting to be discovered.
We strongly recommend a jungle trekking or a sailing trip through the islands of Langkawi (Nov to May). Daily complimentary guided nature walks in the morning and evening.
